My New Favorite Snack: Rice Cakes

My daughter hipped me to rice cakes again the other day. I've been fretting and grousing about the house, complaining about all I can't eat. She had some and informed me they are low salt! I checked the label and sure enough, they only contain 4% sodium (RDA). I'm not eating anything over 5%. They are also very filling, they seem to expand in your stomach. I've been having the white cheddar flavor, going to check out other flavors in a bit. Delicious!

Today’s Health Goals:
Drink 120 oz water
One serving meals, no seconds
NO salty foods!!
Raw veggies or air-popped popcorn for snacks
Brush & floss after every meal
Today’s weigh-in: 153 pounds
Weight Goal: 125 pounds

I Joined the 50 Million Pounds Weight Loss Challenge

I Joined the 50 Million Pound Challenge

I joined the 50 Million Pounds Weight Loss Challenge to help me lose the rest of the weight. 30 pounds to go! You may recall my Fitness Challenge of 2007, I started at 210 pounds. Now currently at 155. Goal 125. I lowered my goal to 125 from 130 due to the weight I gain during monthly cycle.

Up a Pound, Blaming Salty Food

I am up a pound this morning. Last night I had two pieces of pizza. I know, I know. I don't do well with salty foods. But I figured just this once, and I wasn't adding any salt to the pizza, blah blah, excuse excuse excuse. My ankles swelled up right away and this morning weighed myself and saw I'd gained a pound of water weight. I simply cannot handle salty food *cries*. I am a salt fiend so eliminating salty food from my diet is going to be very very hard.

Today’s Health Goals:
Drink 120 oz water
One serving meals, no seconds
NO salty foods!!
Raw veggies or air-popped popcorn for snacks
Brush & floss after every meal
Today’s weigh-in: 155 pounds
Weight Goal: 125 pounds

Supple Mama Snack: Fresh Tomato w/Basil

Supple Mama Snack: Fresh Tomato w/Basil

Since my ankle has been busted I've gained gained 3 pounds! because I haven't been able to exercise and just been sitting around. Also I've been snacking on fattening non-nutritious things like potato chips. 3 pounds doesn't sound like a big deal but you may recall my Fitness Challenge of 2007...if so you know how hard I worked to lose all that weight and the changes I had to make to how I ate and exercised.

I still have 25 pounds to lose to hit my goal, and I am determined to make it. This is a delicious snack and has 0 fat, high in Vitamin C, other vitamins and minerals, and antioxidants. and delicious! and, NO SALT which is my big stumbling block.
