Gardening Early April

Spinach growing! I was seriously eying these this morning to eat, LOL. Oh my, I can't wait for some fresh homegrown spinach. YUM:

I'm growing potatoes this year, here's the first potato to sprout. I need to get going with this:


Peas!!


I was so surprised to see my flowers up and out!


I think I may be the only person in the world to kill a mint plant. This was one I bought in for the winter and kept with my houseplants. It actually grew a shoot into a plant in a pot next to it, but then both plants died.


Broccoli!!


Here are some red beans growing! We pick the pods (they look almost like pea pods but taste like green beans, sort of) almost as soon as they grow, otherwise they can be tough. These are going in the garden soon. I might let a few plants grow until the beans actually get hard. I will have to see how much room I have for that, though.

I Have Beans!

I have pods on my green bean plants now. This is so exciting! I took some pics with my phone but my network is not letting me send them to my email, aaarrrgh. I have got to get a digital camera, I still haven’t replaced Brian’s that I broke a while back.

I have been gardening for a while now but this is the first year I’ve gotten so involved with it and watched it so closely. Anyway, I am on cloud nine because of my beans, ha ha. Just wanted to share!
