Spring Frost Early May 2008

Broccoli and lettuce plants that were on my porch. The temperature dipped a little and killed them.



I bought most of the plants in, even the peas which seemed to thrive after the frost. Our last expected frost is May 18th. Then I am going to start getting these in thr ground.

Lettuce Gone to Seed October 2007

Most of the lettuce has been long gone, here is a plant I let live out it's life cycle up on the balcony. I'm trying to collect and save as many seeds as I can for next year's planting...lettuce seeds are teeny-tiny though so it's gonna take a bit of time and patience.

Each puff is made up of little individual puffs that end in a sliver of a seed.
