Refreshed, Renewed, Recharged

Maine Vacation 2008 - Day 9 Farewell

I just got back from Maine this past Sunday, where we spent 9 days. It was exactly what I needed. I feel so much better, just energized all over. I love this pic, it captures how inspired the beauty and serenity of Maine made me feel.
We got caught in a storm, but afterward the sky was beautiful :)

Leaving Maine...I was kind of sad to leave, but felt so refreshed from the vacation I was eager to get home, get back to work and make things happen!

The Happy Planet

I was reading over at Ariel's blog, she recently got back from The Global Well-Being Forum where they talk about happiness around the world and economics and psychology and stuff. She posted that she'd been asking around about women and happiness, and asked on her blog, How happy are you? Here is part of my answer:

Ariel I am all about positivity and happiness. I am very happy with my life and myself. I believe that happiness is a choice, especially in a country like the USA where there is so much opportunity and freedom. I have met so many people in my life from other countries who had absolutely nothing and lived under terroristic conditions, yet still became happy and went through life with a positive outlook. So when I feel tempted to whine about whatever particular misery I put it in perspective and keep it moving. Since choosing to be happy I have had a profound positive change in my personal equilibrium over the past year or so.

How about you? Are you happy, and why or why not?
