Memorial Day Bookstore Work

Today is Memorial Day in the USA and after we watched our local parade I spent some time sorting through some books for my store. I open next month so soon I will no longer have piles of books everywhere in my house!

About Texture Bookstore

Texture Bookstore & Indie Emporium is a used bookstore located in Elyria, Ohio. It is owned and managed by me, Trula Breckenridge. Texture's niche is independently produced items such as indie books, zines, and comics. I will also have a small section of independently produced crafts, clothing, bags and household items.

Having my own bookstore is a goal I have been working on for 3 years. I am a writer and avid reader and I LOVE books. I have a business degree and have been running my own indie publishing company since August 2000, so this is a natural extension of my business.

I am very committed to independent publishing and the DIY ethic so I will stock such items from other indie producers in my store. In addition to general used books, Texture will also have independently produced magazines, artwork, crafts, clothing, bags, and more.

Texture Bookstore & Indie Emporium's grand opening week is August 3rd-9th!
Monday-Friday: 8am-8pm
Saturday: 10am-8pm
Sunday: 12-6pm
