Day 47 Cleveland Marathon 2008 Training

I did two sets of yoga today, one as soon as I got up, the other after I did 40 minutes of tae bo. That ish is h-a-r-d. Although yoga is challenging in other ways. Off for run in a bit, today running 3 miles at treadmill on gym. Having the monthly temporary weight gain. The past 3-4 months or so I've been gaining 4-7 pounds water weight during my lady days.

New thing I'm trying is to not eat anything after 8pm, even emergency carrots. This is hard because with my new work schedule I will be up much later than that. Today is the 3rd day of doing this, and I must say so far it has not been so bad.

Today’s Health Goals:
Yoga 30 minutes
40 minutes Tae Bo
Run 3 miles
Drink 120 oz water
One serving meals, seconds declined
Minimal salt added to food
Raw veggies for snacks, apple for dessert
Food cut-off time: 8pm
Brush & floss after every meal
Today’s weigh-in: 146 pounds
Weight Goal: 130 pounds

Day 32 Cleveland Marathon 2008 Training

I need to change up my training schedule. New work schedule's gonna cut into my running time during week, so will have to save long runs for weekends. It's also cold and snowy here so unless I get to the gym I miss a run, because the sidewalks are covered in ice & snow and I am scared to run on the street. Cleveland area drivers are kinda aggressive.

I've gained 3 pounds since starting training, which surprised me at first because I look leaner but I realized I am gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat. It will sort itself out as my body resolves the rest of the unnecessary fat off my body.

Today’s Health Goals:
Yoga 30 minutes
Walk 3 miles
Drink 120 oz water
One serving meals, seconds declined
No salt added to food
Raw veggies for snacks, apple for dessert
Brush & floss after every meal
Today’s weigh-in: 140 pounds
Weight Goal: 130 pounds
