Death In The Garden July 2008

Actually not the garden proper, but a house plant that took sick and died. I have 5 of these plants in my house, the rest are fine. Not really sure what happened with this one, but it shriveled up pretty quick. Thought about trying to make something with this, then decided to just break up and throw in compost.

If it is truly diseased, perhaps the compost pile is not the place for it. Won't that just spread the disease when you spread the compost? Not an expert at these things.

Sure that is a consideration. In my experience plant diseases die off fairly quick in the compost, especially during the winter season. Also this is a house plant, and in my experience issues with house plants rarely jump to outdoor crops and vice versa. I realize other people have had different experiences with this though. I'm not an expert either, but I have been gardening for a while. Thanks for commenting :)
