People Who Don't Think About the Enviornment
Question: How do you deal with people who don't care about the environment even though they have college degrees and/or good jobs so should know better?
Just because they are college-educated and have good jobs doesn't mean they know better. Seriously, you'd be surprised how little this is addressed on many college campuses. There is no academic requirement to learn about the environment for most majors. Just something to consider.
It's possible that they might be receptive to conversation about it, if nothing else. And you might also be surprised at how you influence others just from your examples. My neighbors on both sides and across the street didn't recycle until they saw my recycle bags set out. I didn't have to say a word, but they would bring it up.
Sometimes it just doesn't occur to people that their little bit might actually be of help, you know?
