Good, Fluffy, Homemade Biscuits

Homemade Biscuits
Cut each biscuit out with juice glass.

Homemade Biscuits

I love making biscuits from scratch, they are the BEST. the secret to good fluffy biscuits is vegetable shortening, baking soda, & butter. Easy on the butter, just a little for light flaky taste. You will need:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 tablespoon white sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 cup cow's milk

Pre-heat oven to 425F/218C
Mix dry ingredients
Cut in shortening. I just mix it in with fingers.
Add milk till dough just moistened.
Knead 10-15 times.
Roll dough flat to 1-inch thick.
Cut each biscuit out with large cookie cutter or juice glass.
Bake 13-15 minutes, serve warm. Enjoy!

Will they turn out good using soy milk instead of moo-cow milk?
