My Children Are Wanted and Loved
If there is one thing that brings me the most happiness as a mother, it's that I freely express my love for my children and joy in their being in my life to them. My children are deeply treasured, respected, and well-loved. And they know it, they know I love them and want to be the best parent I can be. They have seen me transform from being a spanking, yelling, easily frustrated, resentful, and flustered mother to being a gentle, compassionate, caring, and trusting mother that they feel safe with and can confide in and have fun with. They wear my love like an armor that buffers them through the world.
When my children are 80, 90 years old and I am long gone, I know they will think about me and their childhoods with deep love and hold the memory of me close to their hearts. I have given my children the true security of a mother's love.
