What I'm Reading: Week of 4/22/07

It's a slow week on the reading front for me as I am swamped with work, so just one book this week. I'm re-reading the four Agreements by Don Luis Ruiz. I have had this book for some time and have read it many times. It is awesome, get it if you can. One of the four agreements that has imppressed me the most is:

Don't Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

I have read this over and over for years but it's only been in recent months that I have come to take this to heart and understand it. It is like a lightbulb has gone off in my head. I still struggle with this but I have moments of stress now that are eased when I think of this. It is truly like a balm to my soul.
