I cannot stand my glasses

The frames on my glasses are mostly clear so it’s not a question of vanity. I just don’t like them. I can’t look out of the corner of my eye at stuff; I have to turn my head fully in order to see out of my glasses all the way. I feel like I am constantly losing them. I am rough with them so I’m always messing around with the frame trying to get them back in shape. I just don’t like wearing them. I considered getting Lasik eye surgery done but that may not completely eliminate the need for corrective lenses, so I’m going to go for contacts. The pic is of me with glasses, the only one I could find!
