I don't curse anymore

This goal was worth doing for me because it has made my home life smoother. I don’t have to apologize or make excuses to my children for using vulgar language. I never cursed at my children but frequently cursed around them about various things. They always looked so disappointed with me when I cursed and always said Mom! You tell us not to use bad language and you curse all the time. They have been excited about the change these past few months and enjoying my not cursing. I also love how not cursing has made my use of language more fluid and full of texture, which has helped my writing. It also has affected how I respond when I get angry or upset or offended by someone; that pause while I think of something to say instead of cursing gives me a moment or 2 to cool down.
