About this Blog: I started an online journal in May 2002 on one of my old sites. I hand-coded the site design. It took me a long time to see the time benefit of using a blogging site such as blogger, and to understand the blogging craze when it hit. It also took me a long time (years) to understand the money aspect of blogging i.e making money off your blog. I can be very, very slow sometimes. I switched to using blogger in 2005 sometime, then moved my old entries here.

I mostly wrote about my family and my writing on mothering issues, but occasionally I used to write other things like fitness, dreadlocks, vegetarian & gardening stuff, politics, cultural things. In May 2007 I re-focused this blog's topics to be solely about parenting with an emphasis on my mothering experience. Although I comment sometimes on stuff I have read on other blogs and websites, most of the posts here are my own original content. The children in the photos are my own. This blog includes personal posts about my children, general posts about motherhood, and posts about parenting-related topics. Like all my blogs, Mama Specific Productions is powered by blogger and hosted on my site MSPmedia.net

About Me: I write from my heart about motherhood. I have been a mother for over 19 years and it has been one of the most beautiful things to ever happen to me. There is something magnificent in guiding a human being from infancy to adulthood, and it is a responsibility I am in awe of. I have been deeply blessed with my children; with my family. I am married and have 3 children. My daughter is 19 and my sons are 13 & 10.
