Self- Actualization

I've been reading a lot about Abraham Maslow and his theory of Self-Actualization.
I'd like to think of myself as self-actualizing. According to Maslow's theory I have most if not all of the characteristics of self-actualizing people. But Trula, you say,
what is "self-actualization" any old way? Ok, it's the need to become what you were "meant" to be; whatever your creative and/or intellectual talents drive you to do. Why the artists paints (or whatever), the writer writes,
the techie person codes, the doctor heals, etc. Maslow felt that you could become self-actualizing only after your other needs were met, such as the need for food, safety, shelter, love, etc.

One of the characteristics of self-actualized people is that they have a strong ethical system, which was spiritual but rarely religious in nature. I've been pondering what that means in my life...My ethics guide my behavior and I consider myself a spiritual
person, but I tend to shy away from organized religions.
