Back Workin' For The Man
So since I have been sick and stressed out I haven't been doing very much with my business. I could count on some scratch every week selling stuff at various flea markets around town, mostly the lotions for Veggie Mama and bandanas for Dread Mama and assorted t-shirts and bags. Also the pre-orders for the books was coming in. Now, though, I am way behind financially and have to work for a minute at an outside job. I'm willing to do so for at least a year, by then I'll have my degree so if I am not self-supporting with my writing then at least I'll make more money with my degree. Right? riiiight.
It's funny how all of the people who tell me that MSP is a pipe dream are all working at jobs they despise. They love that security, though. Me, I'd rather live in a paper bag than work FOREVER at somebody else's dream, but since my kids need a roof over their heads and lights and gas and, you know, stuff like that, I gotta go work for The Man.
Anybody know that song by Ween? I'm playing it right now.
